The state of Pennsylvania hosted its first ever PIAA Girls Wrestling Championship, inviting talented female wrestlers from across PA to compete. Among the the top competitors sit Mariana Bracetti’s Julissa Ortiz and Northeast High School’s Samiyah Rahming.
This past February, both Samiyah and Julissa finished first place in their respective weight classes in the 2024 PPL Individual Wrestling Tournament held at Northeast High School.
As more and more female wrestlers take to the mat in the city of Philadelphia, we look to both of these young women as trailblazers of the sport and could not be more proud of their accomplishments so far!!
