PPL Basketball Championships: Audenried Girls capture first Title in School History/Imhotep Charter continues reign of dominance

Girls and Boys Basketball Champions

In what was a truly historic day for the PPL, The Audenried Charter Rockets and The Imhotep Charter Panthers have been crowned this year’s Girls and Boys Basketball Champions!!

at 1:00 PM on Saturday the 25th, The Audenried Charter Rockets faced the Imhotep Charter Lady Panthers in a game that stayed competitive throughout! After some big plays late in the game and a 3-pointer by Audenried Sophomore Shayla Smith with 1:00 minute left in the game, Audenried sealed the game 56-48.

Audenried Junior, Aniyah Howard, received the Finals MVP for her stellar performance for the Rockets!

The focus then fell on the Boys Basketball Championship as Imhotep Charter was able to capture their 3rd straight Public League Title and 11th Title under Head Coach Andre Noble. The Panthers took down the West Philadelphia Speedboys with a final score of 72-43.

Senior Forward and consensus Number 1 college prospect Justin Edwards put on a show finishing with 25 points and the game MVP!
