Our Public League golfers once again convened at the 1912 Club in Plymouth Meeting to decided the 2024 Public League Golf Championship last Tuesday. A cool but calm day benefited our golfers as they took the course in competition.
Constitution High School, the reigning Public League Champions were joined by Central High School (last year’s runner up) and Philadelphia Academy Charter for a triple threat championship. The Generals, led by Junior Beau Riviere, got the better of Central High School in last year’s contest with a 15 stroke victory over the Lancers. This year, the tide would turn in Central’s favor.
With an impressive showing by Junior, Manik Narula (84), last year’s PPL Golf Individual’s champion, along with Senior Salvatore Campagna (98) and Junior Lewis Cantras (95), the Lancers pulled off an impressive 31 stroke victory to deny Constitution their third straight Public League Title.
Beau Riviere, however would retain his 2023 Individual Title, shooting an 80 to beat Central’s Narula by 4 stokes.
